Space Camp

As a kid I have always wanted to go to Space Camp.  Well a little older and still just a big kid I got to opportunity to go out to Huntsville, AL to go out to Space Camp and get a first hand look into a world that a majority of the public doesn’t get a chance to see. 

Not only that but we had a chance to play on a few of the anti-gravity devices and the multi axis devices as well.  You think you have an ideal of how dizzy you get but once you get going and going and going on top of flipping in all different directions.  You do your best of  just trying to walk straight afterwards. 

Afterwards we got the chance to take part in doing a simulated mission.  This whole operation was a blast.  The mission itself takes a little longer then what we had to do it in.  So it was a blast to watch the people out on the space walk and listen to the people back out on mission control and the shuttle to hear them leave them out there is space.  We had a great laugh about that once they rejoined the group. 

          I will say that Huntsville did a great job in welcoming us all out to the city and giving us an opportunity to see what all the city has to offer.

Snow Mountian

All right I know that we live in the south and the thought of snow in the south closes everything down. Well Stone Mountian has found a way to introduce snow to many people that never get a chance to see it. I had a chance to go and check out the slops a Snow mountian below is the story check it out.

This is what I looked like.  I had so much fun out there and would tell anyone who wanted to go and have fun with the family. To go out and enjoy the white object that is called snow.

Just one warning, wear warm clothes because it does get cold.

Destiny Praise

Inauguration

I don’t know about you but when history is made its always good to be there to say that I was there.  Well I can tell my kids in the future that I was there when the first African American President was sworn in.  I can tell you that this is an experience that was well worth the trip and even thought it was a headache just trying to get everything down.  The energy at the National Mall was just electric.  Just to bad there was no electricity to power a heater; cause it was cold as all get out.  I think that the high for that day was 32 degrees and standing in one place for hours your muscles get so stiff and the you move, you really ain’t going anywhere.  But that didn’t hinder the fact that there where so many people out there.  It was an experience that I would say for people to experience at least one, cause I think if you get out there and say that you where there and you have done it; but after the first one and you walking all over the place trying to figure out where you are going and trying to figure out that most the people there don’t know whats going on.  People trying to leave and road closed and metro stations closed and on top of that local PD are allowing only a few people into the stations at a few time.  People started to get a little testy, but I will say that most people kept there cool and rolled with the punch and everything worked out just fine and eventually people made it home without to much drama.  Well except for the only lady who got injured in the metro station early in the day causing a few delays and causing the delays later on in the day. 

I will say this thought it was good to see so many people from Atlanta area.  I meet so many people from Smyrna, laweranceville, Atlanta, Cherokee county just to name a few and they where all saying the same thing.  I want to go back to Atlanta “Its a lot warmer.”  Well I could doubt them on that one cause it was cold.

Love Working out

I don’t know about you but getting back into shape sucks.  Well let me rephrase this “it hurts.”  I don’ t know if my legs can take another squat.  I was out last week at Body Sculpt Inc doing the boot camp class  and we where doing some squats arm presses on one of the inflatable balls.  When I was on my second set and and all of a sudden I noticed that the ball wasn’t as bouncy as it was in the beginning.  Come to find out that I popped the exercise ball.

   I don’t know about you but it was funny as all get out.  Just to bad I had to do like twice as many exercises afterwards.  But you know what it will be well worth it.  I am wanting to loose another 40 pounds to get back down to 200.  Or at least be able to do a 6 minute mile again.  Just one step at a time.  Here we go.

New Year

Oh my goodness, that is all that needs to be said for this year.  I don’t know about you but I have had a blast this year.  This year has I have extended my family with the marraige to my Wife Monika.

It’s always great to sit back and think about what all has gone on this year and everything that you went through and thought that you couldn’t or wouldn’t do, and you where able to make your goals.  Just looking back gives you the thinking of what all is going to happen this year?  What do I want to make happen this year?  What do I want to accomplish this year?  There are some many things that comes into your mind in the new year and what are you going to do to take that next step forward?  This is the wonderful part about the new year.  You get to reflect on what has happened through the year and know you can take the time to see what you did and go and improve on what you are wanting to do in the future.  I hope that everyone has a great new year and hopefully you have a chance to get everything that you wanted to get completed that you wanted this year.

Celebs doing their part for Christmas.

I always love it when Celebs go out and hang out with the kids; and when it comes to this time of the year it’s very much needed to add some extra cheer.   Here are a few of the celebs out this past week doing there part.

Young Dro out at the T.I.’s foundation at the Cascade’s family skate park.

 

T.I. with his family at his foundation christmas party where he gave away toys to kids from area organizations. 

He teamed up with the family from the Cascade’s family skating center to make this event possible.  The kids had a blast and all left with a smile on there face. 

Chris Tucker was out with his foundation giving away toys to the kids to the boys and girls club in Atlanta off Hill St.  The kids had a blast being with him and performing skits for him. 

 

Chauncey Davis, Kindal Moorehead, and Jonathan babineaux playing with the kids at a local homeless shelter and gave them gifts later on. 

Later on today Shawty Lo will be passing out toys to kids in need in Forest Park area.

Shopping for Christmas

Hello Everyone,

Hope that everyone is having a happy Holidays so far and that everyone is having fun shopping for Christmas gifts.  If you are like me and haven’t even started shopping yet, you are kinda in a little trouble.  But what do you get for everyone that you don’t know to get.  You can always go with something that is personalized.  Its always the easiest and simplist gifts that are always fun to give.  If you are wondering what I am talking about.  Take a look at the story that we aired on the 18 of this month.  It gives you a great ideal for gifts that you can do for anytime.  Not only just for Christmas. 

Also check out the story that we are airing on this friday about a group called Destiny Praise.  They are a local gospel group based out of a church in Marietta.  I am a huge music lover.  Doesn’t really matter what it is, i’ll listen to it all if its good.  But this group has a fun loving spirit and they really get into their shows.  I would highly recommend taking the trip and going up to see the.
